Prayer Focus: January 8 - 15

Please be in prayer over the construction project that is well underway at King of Glory right now. Praise the Lord for the funding and opportunity that this is to expand the space that He has already given us. Pray for patience in times of frustration and for a continued spirit of gratitude as the project carries on. Begin praying over the space ahead of time that God would bless and use this space to accomplish the will and work of His kingdom. Especially pray for the young minds and hearts that will be taught the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in these classroom spaces.

As you reflect and pray, consider the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30 and how we can remain good stewards of what God has given us. Reflect on remaining faithful to the Lord’s call to share the Gospel with all who enter this space

Prayer Focus: Dec. 18-25

Please join us in praying for those who are experiencing a season of grief. Pray that God would put people into their pathway who can listen, encourage, and pray with them. Pray that God would soften hearts of those grieving to receive help from one of our care team members or a member of their community group. Ask God to protect those who are grieving from isolation in this difficult season.

Pray that God would give wisdom and compassion to our Care Leaders:  Julie, Will, and Randi Helder as they walk alongside individuals who have experienced a loss or situation that is bringing grief. Pray that the presence of God and the eternal hope we have in Christ would give renewed strength to those experiencing grief.

Prayer Focus: Dec. 10 - 17

Pray for God to help us share the Gospel with those in our lives who have not yet heard or accepted it. Pray for wisdom with those who have hardened their hearts towards the Gospel and the Church of Christ. Ask God to give us patience and help us pray knowing that He is the one who stirs the heart and gives the gift of faith. Share 2 or 3 names of people that you want to have a faith conversation with so others can be praying with you that God would bring the opportunity.

Read Acts 8:26-40 and reflect on how we can remain faithful and ready to act when God presents us with a Gospel opportunity. Pray that God would help us ask good questions to begin the conversation of sharing about Jesus.

Prayer Focus: Dec. 3 - 10

Please lift up in prayer Mission Haiti as they seek to bring hope and love in the name of Jesus to the people in Haiti. We pray for safety and protection of the Haitian people living in danger there. We pray for wisdom and discernment for Paul and Bethany Perrissien as well as their team as they seek to do what is best for the people they serve while following Jesus.

We pray that the hearts and minds of the people will be open to the Gospel and that the Lord would work in miraculous ways in the people there. Ask God to lead and guide King of Glory as a church as we seek to live out the Great Commission in our community as well as our mission partners.

Prayer Focus: Nov. 20-27

Join together in prayer for family relationships. Ask God to strengthen relationships between children and parents along with healthy relationships between siblings. Pray for God’s wisdom to guide all of us in our interactions with our immediate and extended family members. Ask God to be at work in the life of family members who do not know Christ.

Pray for God to open conversation opportunities to care for the spiritual health of family members. Pray healing and reconciliation where there has been strain in families. Ask God to clothe us with grace and patience towards one another in our families.

Prayer Focus: Nov. 6 - 13

Please be in prayer for God to open our eyes to the ways we can serve those around us and in our community. Pray for doors to be opened in relationships with our neighbors, family members, or others God puts in our path. Ask God to give us wisdom as we step into the messiness of life or difficult conversations of speaking truth in love.

Pray that God would help us to reflect Christ’s character in our relationships and that they would bring glory to his name. Ask God to help us to reach out. Read John 15:12-17 and ask God to help us be in relationship with him first, and then to boldly go out to love and care for others.

Prayer Focus: October 30 - Nov. 5

Join together in praying for our daily work life. Ask God to give meaningful work opportunities to each person and open needed doors of employment. Pray for people to be diligent in their work and bring a Christ-like attitude to their work no matter the type of work. Pray for supernatural ability for people to be patient and graceful with bad supervisors.

Ask God to give people a fresh vision of the importance of their work to a healthy society. Pray for God to give people the necessary persistence in applying for a new job if needed. Ask God to shine the character of Jesus through each of us in our daily work lives.

Prayer Focus: October 23-30

Please be in prayer over the Kids Programming Evaluation Process. Give God praise for our children at King of Glory and their famlies. Ask God to give discernment to families as they fill out the parent survey that they would articulate the desires/needs of their children. Pray for wisdom and discernment for the Family Ministry and Leadership Teams as they make decisions regarding future programming for children.

Pray for understanding and peace in the program decision that will be made and that we as a church will be unified in our mission to glorify God together. Pray that God would supply a new children's program staff person that will share the same mission and passion for partnering with parents to help kids learn and know Jesus.
