PRAYER MINISTRY
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7
Five Elements to our Prayer Strategy
Prayer Group (chain) - This is for anyone who desires and commits to praying for individuals who request prayer from the church body. A request can be made through our website, written on the Sunday Connection card (checking prayer group), or reaching out to a staff member. The request is then sent out by email to the Prayer Group.
Staff & Care Team Prayer - King of Glory staff and care leaders pray each Monday for any individual giving a praise or need on the Sunday Connection Card. A staff member or care leader will follow up after praying as needed.
Prayer Focus - This ministry is where we choose a weekly focus that we ask the congregation to be in prayer about during the week. It is sent via the weekly e-newsletter and is included in our prayer during worship on Sundays.
Corporate Prayer Groups - We invite anyone to be in a Corporate Prayer Group. These groups can be in person or via zoom and consist of 5 to 6 people who pray together through a prayer guide for the week’s prayer focus and any requests submitted to them. This prayer time usually lasts approximately 1 hour.
Share Focus: One of our Core Focuses is sharing the Good News of Jesus with those not engaged in church. Every other month the King of Glory family will be challenged to be in prayer for 2-3 people. They will submit the names of those 2-3 people so the Corporate Prayer Group(s) can pray for specific names for opportunities to share the gospel with these people.
