CARE MINISTRY
Galatians 6:2, “Bear on another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
Our Care Ministry seeks to care for our King of Glory family and community using the following 5 avenues of help.
Pastoral Care & Support
If you are struggling personally or in a relationship, it can be helpful to talk to someone about your situation. Our pastor and care team are available to help you sort through a difficult time and offer prayer and biblical guidance for your situation. While King of Glory does not offer professional counseling, our pastor can give you a professional referral when appropriate. Members of the care team at King of Glory are available for visitation and care if you have been hospitalized, will be undergoing surgery, are at a rehabilitation center, or have become home bound.
Care Fund
King of glory provides financial support for families experiencing a time of hardship through a benevolent fund, as well as biblical-based financial counseling/mentoring to help in budget and debt reduction.
We provide financial support for families experiencing a time of hardship through the care fund. After requesting assistance, a financial assistance form will need to be completed and there will be consultation with one of our leaders. It will then be determined if this is a need we can meet or if it’s more appropriate to refer to other local agencies such as Community Outreach or Lutheran Social Services.
Marriage
We desire to provide guidance and tools for those seeking a biblical marriage. We can provide mentor couples for those who want to learn from experienced married couples. Weddings are also available at King of Glory for members and non-members.
Grief Support
We desire to provide support, comfort, and prayer in time of loss of life or a changing event. King of Glory has a Car team of people ready to walk with you in a time of grief. A set of books are given that can be beneficial in understanding the stages of grief.
Prayer
King of Glory staff and care team desire to pray for any member or person in our community who has a prayer need.
