Mission Partner Update
Thank you King of Glory members for your continuing generous and sacrificial support! We began this journey together in 2017 and you have faithfully provided prayer, leadership, volunteers, and financial support. We can only imagine what God will accomplish through His people in the days ahead.
Thank you also for providing time in Sunday’s worship to bring you up to date. For those not able to attend, the following is a link to the slides we shared: CRI Presentation to King of Glory We hope you will enjoy the pictures of our Kids, Staff, and facilities; but below is a written overview if you prefer or you can watch a recording of the presentation above.
Above all, please know that without your support our ministry would not be nearly as impactful! Your partnership enables us to share the Good News with more people, care for more Children in need; provide more employment for struggling families; and permits us to walk alongside several struggling Liberian communities who are doing their best to care for themselves.
If you would like to volunteer on our Board or one of our working teams, please speak with Tim Reuer, David Clayton, Dani Reuer, Wes Loughman, or Gary Helder.
Children Rescue Recap for King of Glory Church:
Liberia continues to struggle as the 8th poorest Nation, with particularly poor roads, electrification, healthcare, education, and social services.
CRI focuses on 6 ministry areas: Children’s Care; International Outreach Ministries Church; King of Glory Mission School; Vocational Training; Medical Clinic; and Economic Development (Transportation, Farming, & Milling)
Children’s Care recap:
○ 43 Kids in our home and supervised off-campus housing;
○ Our dedicated Staff provide housing, food, clothing, medical care;
○ Each Child is either in academic School or Vocational Training; and
○ 32 Kids have Sponsors who give $100/month for their physical needs - and we are praying for 11more. (Smaller support gifts can be combined with other Donors to Sponsor a Child.)
International Outreach Ministries Church recap:
○ Community Church that meets in the King of Glory Mission School building;
○ Our CRI Kids, many Staff, and approx 50 Neighbors worship and gather;
○ Our Kids lead the music ministry and are quite engaged in Church life; and
○ Several spiritual revival and Bible study events are held each year.
King of Glory Mission School recap:
○ Pre-K thru 12 Grade;
○ 40 of our CRI Kids and 341 Community Kids are enrolled for the 2025-26 year;
○ We had our 2nd HS graduation this year … and two of our CRI Kids graduated!
Vocational Training recap:
○ On campus, we have offered the following programs:
■ Cosmetology (Barbering, Beautician, Manicure, and Pedicure);
■ Soap Making (General Cleaning, Facial, Laundry, and Bleach);
■ Tie Dye Cloths (Sheets and T-Shirts)
■ Tailoring (Everyday Clothing and School Uniforms)
○ And, one student is attending a more advanced off-campus Cosmetology School.
Medical Clinic recap:
○ Primary care provided in a very poor, remote, densely jungled area;
○ 1 Physician Assistant, 1 Practical Nurse, and a remote Supervising Doctor provide care and medications to more than 750 Patients per year;
○ 1 Pastor is on staff to spiritually care for the Staff, Patients, and their Families;
○ This is one of the most challenging ministries we have. Thank you for your prayers … and if you desire to share your medical gifts in any way - we could really use them!
Economic Development recap: As mentioned above, the Liberian economy is in very poor shape. (High unemployment, high dependence on subsistence farming and small entrepreneurial businesses; and very poor roads and access to trucks.) Through a very generous gift from King of Glory we are establishing three no/low profit businesses: 1) Trucking; 2) Farming; and 3) Cassava Milling.
■ Trucking - In place for 15 months and now running at a small operating profit;
■ Farm - 3 acres bought in 2024. Land cleared and cassava planted this year;
■ Cassava Milling Operations :
● Partnering with Brother’s Keepers in Dewoblee, a warehouse was just completed and a cassava press and mill will be purchased soon!
● A 2nd (much larger warehouse, press, & mill) operation will be established on our farm. Work is planned to start this year.
