Bible Highlight Sunday

This Sunday, October 11, is “Bible Highlight Sunday” at King of Glory. During the morning worship service, we will take a moment to recognize the importance of our children having Scripture as a part of their lives.

“Bible Highlight Sunday” centers around one of King of Glory’s core focuses, which is Learning. We believe that it is through Scripture that we encounter Christ and receive His promises and commands. Therefore, we encourage parents to make it a priority to give a Bible to their children in first grade and in sixth grade.

We want children and students to receive Bibles from their parents. This is important so that children and students see their parents as the primary teacher and model of faith. Therefore, the kids and students will not be called forward on Sunday to receive a Bible. Instead, we will emphasize what should be happening at home.

King of Glory will provide Bibles to all families with children and students in first and sixth grade, and then we ask parents to give them to their children at home.

A KOG staff member will get the Bibles to the families, and we hope it can be a meaningful time for families. If we have children or students attending without their parents, we will always make Bibles available to them and give them one directly as well.
