Belong Picnics and Campfires
We are not meant to be alone; we are created and redeemed for community with one another. The world says, “to each their own,” but not so with us. We belong to one another—called to be accountable to each other, to celebrate together, and to grieve together. To live this out, we must intentionally set aside time to be together. This summer, everyone is encouraged to participate in a picnic or a campfire. Belonging begins with time together.
During the months of June, July, and August, there are 10 picnics and 10 campfires scheduled. Families are asked to sign up for one event, either a picnic or a campfire.
The picnics will take place on Sundays following the worship service. Families will gather at Riverdale Park (2000 E. 24th St in Sioux Falls) for a meal and fellowship. Campfires are scheduled on Wednesday and Sunday nights from 7-9 pm at host families’ homes for a time of conversation and S’mores around a campfire.
Below are the dates for the picnics and campfires. To sign up for one of these events, please complete the sign-up form below. Spaces are limited at each event as we want to allow for relationships to build. If you get a message that an event is full, you will be asked to select another event.
