High School Youth Update 1/27/16

Our high school group did not meet this last Wednesday as it was the fourth Wednesday of the month. During this week our students are encouraged to go and serve, connect, or participate in another way at some point during this week. It is also a week for the youth volunteers to connect with students outside of Wednesday night.

Along with this, we did have a summer mission trip meeting. Our high school youth will be going to Jamaica this year and serving at Robins Nest. King of Glory has a lot of connections through members to the nest and it is so exciting to be bringing our high school students to share the love of Christ with those in Jamaica. With that, we have set two of our main fundraising dates! The first will be Palm Sunday March 20th. As a mission team we will be serving breakfast between services and asking for a free will donation to our trip. The second event will be held on Friday April 15th. Our team will be hosting a murder mystery dinner! We are excited about this event as we have a fun twist to our fundraising! Along with both of these events we have some amazing news! We have a dollar for dollar match up to $1,000 for each of these events! It is so fun to see people hear about what our youth are doing and step up to support us as we go!

Next week we will be back to our regular time at 7:45p.m. Wednesday night and will be going through the 5th lesson in our current BASIC’s series!
