King of Glory Outreach

It’s our call and passion as Christians to care for our neighbors locally and globally, for the glory of Jesus Christ.  Through the organizations and programs listed below, we corporately reach out to meet the physical, emotional, and financial needs of our neighbors; while sharing the good news of Jesus Christ throughout every aspect. We want everyone to know that Jesus died for our sins and was raised from the dead to give us a glorious hope of everlasting life. Jesus brings us freedom from sin to live an abundant life, a life that frees us to go forth in service to our neighbor for His glory, making disciples of all nations.

GO 2016

Go Efforts at Terry Redlin

Our Current desire is to be an "encouragement".  We are seeking to be a asset to that school by valuing the things the teacher's value. Therefore, we are seeking to of assistance with things they desire the most.  We hope that these initial efforts will begin a relationship that will open the door for more efforts at a deeper relational level with students and families at some point.

Here is our initial plan to get started:

  1. Mentoring  (program administered by LSS) This is a one hour a week commitment to build a relationship with an elementary age child. To volunteer as a mentor, you need to fill out an application on-line at LSS Mentor Application  You will then attend an hour training session and then be matched with a student at Terry Redlin.
  2. Reading Adventure Program - Monday & Wednesday from 2:45 - 3:20 p.m. This is a new program started at Terry Redlin to give students and their families an opportunity to come to the library to read.  We will be sending 2 people to this during the months of April and May to assess need and then be ready to ask for volunteers to plug in beginning in the Fall, 2016.
  3. Providing the staff with healthy snacks once a week - We are partnering will be purchasing healthy snacks and asking volunteers to fill bags to be given to teachers two Thursdays a month beginning in April.  This could be done by a community group, or group of friends.
  4. We will have a Book Drive (August 2016) & Supply Drive (Jan. 2017) - More information on this will be available soon.

If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering, please email Julie Burnside at www.julie@kingofglorysf.org

Robin's Nest Children's Home

Robin’s Nest Children’s Home is located near Montego Bay, Jamaica. The Nest provides a nurturing, loving, safe, Christ-centered atmosphere in which all children will grow at their own speed -- physically, mentally, and spiritually -- so they may develop their own individual gifts, talents and abilities and become the person who God intended. The Nest’s goal is to transform hurting children into spiritually, physically and mentally healthy believers prepared to impact the world around them.

AMONG Foundation

The AMONG Foundation exists in obedient response to Christ’s Great Commission to go to “all nations.” Its first priority is to Mongolia, where the mission is to win the hearts and minds of the Mongolian people for Jesus Christ. AMONG actively pursues this mission through acts of humanitarian service which cause them to inquire as to the reason for the deeds of love; being a servant to existing ministries already working in Mongolia; and the television broadcast opportunities which will allow development of evangelistic television programming in the context of television programming in the Buddhist world.
