Serve Sunday

At King of Glory, we feel it is our call as Christians to love our neighbors.  This year, we have been working on this call with our newly instated City Love Teams.  We also, yearly, live out this call by giving one of our Sunday morning worships to serve our community with Serve Sunday.  So, this year we thought it was only natural that we interweave these two efforts!  This years Serve Sunday will feature our City Love Teams.  Our service this year will be highlighting what it is that each City Love Team organization does or how we help serve them throughout the year.

Join us on Sunday, November 5th for Serve Sunday.  We will begin the morning with a free breakfast starting at 8:30 AM.  Immediately following breakfast, we will send teams out for the time of service.  Depending on the team, projects will run from 1-2 hours.  This Serve Sunday is an event for all family members.  Nursery will be provided for children ages 0-3.  Children older than 3 are encouraged to serve along side their family.

To sign up for this event, simply pick the City Love Team you would like to work with.  Those that are already on a City Love Team, please still sign up so we know you are planning on being here for Serve Sunday.  Those that are not currently on a City Love Team, we encourage you to pick one of the teams you wish to learn more about.  You can sign up on the form below or on the Connection Card on Sundays!

Southridge City Love Team:  This team will be spending time with the residents by playing Bingo.  There will also be a chance to help assemble greeting cards that get handed out to the residents throughout the year.
Center of Hope City Love Team:  With this team will be working on data entry, as well as cleaning and organizing in a bike shop and clothing closet.
Terry Redlin City Love Team:  Terry Redlin will hold several various projects from indoor painting, to picnic table assembly.  There is also opportunities to help the teachers with miscellaneous classroom stuff, i.e. cutting, stapling, laminating, organizing.
King's Kloset City Love Team:  This team will be working on packaging and delivering a special King's Kloset blessing.
Habitat for Humanity City Love Team:  The Habitat team will be doing manual labor of repairing and painting a fence, and raking leaves to bless a member of King of Glory.
