Welcome to the Care Ministry at King of Glory
As a community of faith, we desire to exercise Christian care and watchfulness over each other, sharing in each other’s joys and bearing each other’s burdens and sorrows. King of Glory's Care Ministry encompasses the following 6 areas:
Counsel - pastoral care or professional referrals, mentors, hospital visitation
If you are struggling personally or in a relationship, it can be helpful to talk to someone about your situation. Our pastor and care team are available to help you sort through a difficult time and offer prayer and biblical guidance for your situation. While King of Glory
does not offer professional counseling, our pastor can give you a professional referral when appropriate. Members of the care
team at King of Glory are available for visitation and care if you have been hospitalized, will be undergoing surgery, are at a rehabilitation center, or have become home bound.
- Financial Guidance - financial support for families experiencing a time of hardship through the benevolent fund, as well as biblical-based financial counseling/mentoring to help in budget and debt reduction
We offer bible-based financial classes such as "Financial Peace University" for those who desire guidance in honoring the Lord with their finances. We also provide financial support for families experiencing a time of hardship through the benevolent fund. After requesting assistance, a financial assistance form will need to be completed and the a consultation with Pastor, Adult Ministry Coord., or Care team member to determine assistance given. If on-going financial assistance is needed or situation applies, referrals will be given to other local agencies such as Community Outreach or Lutheran Social Services.
- Marriage - mentors are available for couples desiring guidance and tools for biblical marriage
We offer Bible Studies on Marriage through Community Groups and can provide marriage mentors for couples desiring to learn from experienced married couples. Weddings are available at King of Glory for members and non-members. For more information click on following link: http://www.kingofglorysf.org/weddingservices/
- Grief Support - providing support, comfort, and prayer in time of loss or life changing event
King of Glory has a Care team of people ready to walk with you in a time of grief. A gift of a set of books, Journeying through Grief, are available that can be beneficial in understanding the stages of grief.
- Prayer - we have people who are committed to praying for those who request prayer.

- Meals & Gifts Ministry – A ministry to provide love and care. Provide meals, flowers or gift basket as appropriate when there is a new baby, an illness, or death in the family.
Community Groups provide love and care for those individuals in their group. When the community groups need additional help in caring for an individual, the group leader(s) will contact the Adult Ministry Coordinator for assistance. If an individual is not in a community group at King of Glory, the Adult Ministry Coordinator will seek out others who are ready and willing to show love and care.
