“What’s for supper?”
Three words I do not like to think about. When my husband and I got married almost two years ago, we made an inside/outside rule. This rule consisted of him taking care of all things outside, i.e. mowing, moving snow, etc., and me with everything inside, i.e. dishes, food, laundry, etc. What was I thinking? But, because of this rule I am the meal planner of the household and am always getting asked the three word question, “what’s for supper?”
An Easy Family Recipe
I have by no means mastered meal planning. In fact, I think you would call me a beginner, but I do have a couple of easy recipes that make a delicious meal with not a lot of time or thought. One of my favorites is Chicken Tacos. They are made in the Crockpot and have only THREE ingredients. This one in particular is great all year long as well!
Chicken Tacos Recipe
1.5 pounds chicken breasts
1 package taco seasoning
1 (16 oz.) jar of your favorite salsa
Place chicken in bottom of crock pot.
Sprinkle with taco seasoning.
Pour jar of salsa over chicken.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 4 hours.
When done cooking, shred chicken with a fork and stir to allow salsa to mix in.
Serve with all your favorite taco fixings.
