Doyle Burnside Tabbed Student Ministries Coordinator

Doyle Burnside has been named Student Ministries Coordinator after serving in that role on an interim basis since May.

Doyle Burnside has been named Student Ministries Coordinator after serving in that role on an interim basis since May.

The Executive Committee has approved Doyle Burnside as the new Student Ministries Coordinator at King of Glory, Pastor Rich announced.

Burnside, who has been serving as the interim Student Ministries Coordinator since May, will work 15-20 hours per week in the student ministry area. 

In addition to his position at King of Glory, Burnside is the Resident Director at Burgess Hall at the University of Sioux Falls, a position he’s held since the Fall of 2012. He will also begin graduate school at USF this fall.

Born and raised in Sioux Falls, Burnside attended USF and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in youth ministry and theology. During his time at USF, he served as the Middle School Coordinator at Hope Lutheran Church for two years. He also was a part of the Student Ministries program at King of Glory for a short time before he accepted an internship at First Presbyterian Church in Sioux Falls. In the Fall of 2012, he was the Youth Director at Spirit of Truth in Brandon, S.D.

Besides working with the Student Ministries, Burnside is also an active member of the worship team at King of Glory, assisting with the contemporary worship service along with with his wife Abby
