Student Ministries Summer Activities Schedule

This summer will be filled with numerous events and activities that serve to continue to grow community and relationships within the Student Ministries at King of Glory, as well as provide opportunities for students to grow in their faith alongside one another through group interactions, service opportunities and worship/studies.

This summer there will be events that encourage parents to join in the excitement.

"I truly believe that parents have the greatest influence on their students," said Doyle Burnside, interim Student Ministries Coordinator. "Having that time to connect with them, other parents and other students within the youth group is so rewarding. I know that this isn’t some kind of magic wand idea that makes you have the best relationship all of a sudden, but I do think it provides opportunities for you to encourage and walk with your student in the student ministries, as well as gives their students time to see them involved in the program."

Below is a list of events for the summer along with dates, times, locations and cost when needed.  There is also a description for each one that lets adults/parents know when they could come along if possible.

Along with those things, the events that will need adult drivers/chaperones will be listed as well. This is very important because a policy that will be implemented this summer is that students who are not driving themselves to an event must ride with an adult driver and not another student who is driving, unless it is a sibling.

Adults who are available to be a driver/chaperone are encouraged to fill out the form below.

Cost for the trip is $140 dollars which is for three nights of lodging and a two-day pass into the amusement parks. There will be an additional charge for travel and food which will be dependent on the number of people who come along! We will need parent drivers/chaperones for this trip.

July 27-August 1: Middle School Camp at Pickerel Lake Lutheran Bible Camp. I will be able to attend this week of camp which is an awesome week for students to be challenged in their faith, develop new friendships, reunite with old friends, and be encouraged that they are not alone on their walk of faith!
