Daily Seven Minute Challenge Reading Schedule (April 28 – May 3)

Please reflect upon the following questions each day as you read the assigned scripture passage.

  • What is revealed about God the Father, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit?
  • What does the passage say about God’s desire for humanity?
  • How is God encouraging you, convicting you, equipping you, or correcting you?

Use the weekend as a time to catch up on missed readings or to do some further searching/reading on various things God is doing in your life. 


Small Group Questions: (April 27 – May 3):  Read 1 Corinthians 15:35-58

How have you previously thought about heaven or life after death?    


What is promised in the verses read and what is not promised?


What is the glorious hope promised in verses 50 – 54?


Read Philippians 3:17-21…what is the eager expectation of the author writing these verses? How is it similar to the message of 1 Corinthians 15?


Read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18…..Why do followers of Jesus grieve differently?   How is the message similar in these verses to what was read in Philippians and 1 Corinthians 15?


How would you describe the hope we have as Christians to someone unfamiliar with the biblical story?


How do you think the promise of Jesus’ return and life in His kingdom should affect our present lives? 


Why do you believe it is important to have a clear understanding of the biblical revelation concerning the afterlife?


What are some things in life that have drained your hope? How can we maintain hope in the midst of darkness and various life difficulties?
