Serve Sunday Recap


Here is a recap of all the service projects that were completed on Serve Sunday, November 2. Thank you to everyone who took part in this special day.

  • Over 200 Thanksgiving and Christmas cards were made for residents of Southridge Health Care Center
  • 36 fleece blankets were made for homeless teens and the Furniture Mission
  • 290 treat bags were made for staff at the SouthRidge Nursing Home, 211 Helpline, and County Jail Employees
  • 50 blessing bags were made for families at the Safe House and homeless teens
  • 120 single-serve meals, 100 breakfast burritos and 23 casserole dishes were prepared for individuals including teen moms and homeless teens and families at the The Walsh Village
  • Numerous data was entered for the Center of Hope and The Community Outreach Sharing Christmas Program
  • Songs were sung to children at Lifescape Children’s Care Hospital
  • Compassion Child Care was deep cleaned
  • 11 Lawns were raked and gutters cleaned
  • Clothes were sorted at Y's buys
  • 27 Pajamas were wrapped in “homemade” wrapping and prayer card keepsakes were made for all the children at Robin's Nest for Christmas
  • Cleaning was completed at Ronald McDonald House
  • A meal and 2 desserts were prepared for the St Francis House
  • Yard work, tree trimming, demolition and painting was done at the Summit House
  • 5 KOG children were lovingly cared for
