At Sunday night's special congregational meeting, the congregation passed the resolution that authorizes the Executive Committee to spend more money to help complete the first phase of remodeling at the new facility.

In passing the resolution, the Executive Committee may now spend an additional $150,000 to help offset some costs that were higher than originally planned. This increase brings the total of cash that can be spent on remodeling costs for the next year to $500,000.

As a result of the resolution passage, the focus now shifts to raising these additional funds. A donor from outside King of Glory has offered a matching gift opportunity during the month of November. The donor has agreed to match any contributions during the month, up to $50,000.

Based on the current balance of the Vision Campaign, this matching gift opportunity should provide the congregation with enough funds to complete phase 1 of the remodel, according a letter from the Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee is in the process of developing a plan on how to raise the funds for this matching gift offer. Because of the importance, this information will be included in the November edition of Inside King of Glory. However, due to timing issues, the publication date for the newsletter has been postponed a week. The newsletter will now be mailed on Tuesday, November 4.
