King of Glory’s fall educational programming is set to blast off on Wednesday, September 4, at the Sycamore Center.
Wednesday nights have education opportunities for individuals of all ages. The evenings begin with supper served from 5:30-6:30 p.m. These suppers are designed to provide a light and simple meal option for individuals and families who face tight schedules getting to Wednesday night activities.
King’s Kids, which is for kids in preschool through fifth grade begins at 6:30 p.m. September 4 will be a special night for King's Kids as it will be their Back 2 School Blast. The Blast will have a different start time, beginning at 6:15 p.m.
At this event, kids in first through fifth grades will learn how to go Back 2 School with a BLAST by using God's example of when to "come to him with a blast" from Numbers 10.
The event will include biblical tools, games and activities.
In addition, there will also be a Parents Orientation Meeting for all King's Kids parents that night beginning at 6:45 p.m. in the main area of the Sycamore Center. At this meeting, Children's Ministry Coordinator Julie Burnside will discuss the curriculum and teaching methods that will be used throughout the year. Following the meeting, parents are invited to join their children for ice cream sundaes and a special BLAST OFF ending!
Student Ministries has two meeting times. Middle school students meet at 6:30 p.m. for Foundations, while high school students meet at 7:45 p.m. for Dig.
Throughout the year adults are encouraged to participate in small groups, which will be offered at various times during the week, including Wednesday nights.
