Upcoming Events: August-November

The leadership teams at King of Glory are implementing a 120-day planning schedule for events within the congregation. Below is a list of upcoming events between August and November.

Some events you have known about for some time, while others are just now being announced. While some of these events seem far off now, we want to make the dates of these events known now so you can mark your calendars now.

Keep checking the web site, newsletters and bulletins as more details become available.

September 12: New Members Class at Sycamore Center, 6-8 p.m.
If you are prepared to commit to being a member at King of Glory, please plan on attending this class. REGISTER HERE  

September 15: Geocaching and Rock Climbing Event
Spend a fall afternoon in one of the local state parks trying to find a geocache or doing some rock climbing.

September 28: Loess Hills Adventure, meet at Hy-Vee (5th St. & Cliff Ave.), 9 a.m.
Bike or drive through the Loess Hills to enjoy the fall foliage.

October 6: Invitation Sunday & Fellowship Meal at Sycamore Center, 5:30 p.m.
Members are encouraged to invite someone to worship that morning. That evening we will gather together for a meal and fellowship.

October 10: Take Back the Night at Old Courthouse Museum, 6-7 p.m.
This is a women's event sponsored by The Minnehaha County Family Violence Council. The event is used to raise public awareness of  domestic abuse and sexual assault. They are planning a soup and pie dinner along with two speakers who are survivors of domestic abuse as well as a candlelight march outdoors.

October 27: Fun on the Farm Night at the Tornberg Farm, 4-7 p.m.
This annual event is fun for the entire family. Enjoy horseback riding, basketball, football, playing in the hay loft, a hayrack ride, supper and a bonfire.

November 3: Serve Sunday, Meet at Sioux Falls Seminary, 9 a.m.
We will gather for a short worship service before going out into the community to serve those who need a helping hand. There are a variety of service projects available for individuals of all ages and skill levels. We will gather back at the school around noon for lunch.
