King of Glory family members are encouraged to attend a VBS Work Night on Thursday, April 18, at Linwood Wesleyan Church, located at 1101 E. 57th Street, to build decorations for this summer's VBS program.
There will be a potluck dinner from 5:30-6 p.m. Everyone is asked to bring something to share with a group of 15-20 people as well as their own drinks. A pop machine is available at the church.
After dinner, work will begin, primarily on building the castle-looking walls as well as decor for the snack area and story area. Depending on the number of volunteers, we will work on other things for the rooms like paper flags, stain glass windows with tissue paper, and flamed lights.
Here is a list of items that are still needed for the work night. Anyone with these items around the house are encouraged to bring them to the work night.
- paint - brown, gray, tan
- paint brushes
- plastic tarps
- gray duct tape
- black electrical tape
- red solo cups
- orange/ yellow tissue paper
- box cutters/ razor blades
King of Glory is again partnering with Linwood Wesleyan Church for VBS this summer. This year's theme is "Kingdom Rock" and will be held Monday, June 3, through Friday, June 7, from 9 a.m. until noon each day at Linwood Wesleyan Church.
