Members Commit to 30 Days of Prayer for Missions

On Sunday, April 22, people were asked to commit to 30 days of prayer for a mission opportunity for King of Glory.  Specifically, people were asked to pray for a person from King of Glory to be sent into the mission field to share the good news of Jesus.

The congregation was challenged to not only be involved with the financial support of missions, but that the congregation would have members directly involved taking the good news across borders.  As recorded in Luke 10, Jesus says, "The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few.  Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest."

Basically, Jesus is saying that there are people ready to hear the message, but there is no one bringing the message, so people need to pray that messengers would come forward.  Now King of Glory is being challenged to find a messenger to send forth to proclaim the greatest news in the world, that Jesus has died for our sins and conquered death through His resurrection.

During these 30 days the congregation is asked to pray for the following items:

  1. Pray that God would burden an individual or family with a passion for taking the message of Jesus to a people group somewhere in the world.
  2. Pray that the a strong mission agency would be found which King of Glory can partner with if a family or individual comes forward to go.
  3. Pray for a specific place or people group that God would have King of Glory reach out to with the good news.

If someone misses a day of prayer there is no punishment, but just an invitation to pray the next day.  Join the movement and enter into the journey of prayer!
