King of Glory's Palm Sunday worship service on Sunday, April 1, will have several special features.
The worship service will be held in the middle school gymnasium at Sioux Falls Christian Schools and is scheduled for 10 a.m. Coffe and treats will be served at 9:30 a.m.
The change in worship location is part of the ongoing Facility Needs Study.
"It will give us an opportunity to see if that would be a space that we could grow into in the future as we grow," Pastor Rich Merkouris said. "We want to get a feel for how we could exist in a bigger space and how much more work it takes to set up that space."
By worshiping in the gymnasium, a projection screen will be used to display song lyrics, scripture readings and announcements.
"It is important to remember that the space we worship in is not what matters, but rather the object of our worship is what is of vital importance," Merkouris added. "It is always stretching to try something new."
Following worship, the congregation will gather for a meal and fellowship. People are invited to come and feast on chicken from the Keg as well as salads, fruits and vegetables and delectible desserts.
Sign up sheets will be at the Welcome Table on Sunday morning if you would like to help by bringing your favorite salad, hot or cold side dish, chips or dessert.
