Families Lend a Hand to Help "Nativity" Come to Life

The world premiere of King of Glory’s production of “Nativity” will be held on Sunday, December 16, at the Sycamore Center. Showtime is set for 4 p.m.

"Nativity" is an interactive program designed to allow families to celebrate the birth of Jesus together, in a fun and dramatic way.

The plot of the story centers around a disgruntled and stressed-out movie director, played by Pastor Rich, and his somewhat organized assistant, played by Molli Ludwig, and their attempt to produce a blockbuster Christmas movie. While their intentions are good, a chain reaction of problems, ranging from an actors’ strike, a fire that consumes all of the costumes and miscommunication with the choir, occur, leaving the project in disarray.

Pastor Rich stars as the director in "Nativity."However, the show must go on. The director then “hires” families from King of Glory to star in the movie.

Participating individuals and families will arrive at 2:55 p.m. For an hour, the participants will have devotions, design some simple costumes and have a little time left to rehearse.

"We think this is going to be an extremely fun event," Ministry Coordinator Julie Burnside said. "It is very informal. You don't have to be a great actor or singer to participate. It is designed to involve the entire family. We hope families will take advantage of this opportunity."

Invite your relatives, neighbors and friends to this awesome outreach event.
