"Stepping Up: A Call to Courageous Manhood" Set for February 1-2

Men, it’s time to tackle something besides each other. This Super Bowl weekend, King of Glory will host a special men’s event called “Stepping Up: A Call to Courageous Manhood.”

The event will be split into two sessions, one Friday, February 1, and one on Saturday, February 2. The event is free of charge, but a free will offering will be taken on Saturday.

Friday night’s session will be from 7-10 p.m.. Snacks will be provided. Meanwhile Saturday’s session will be from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Each person is asked to bring an appetizer for the tailgate lunch. Following Saturday’s session, the congregation is invited to watch the men play a game of broom ball.

Men can register for the event by filling out the sign-up sheets at the Welcome Table or by completing an online registration form on the church web site.

With the event being held over Super Bowl Weekend, the event will have a Super Bowl theme. Attendees are encouraged to wear apparel from their favorite teams.

This will be a DVD presentation led by noted speaker Dennis Rainey. Among the speakers during the event are Tony Dungy, Matt Hammitt, Bill Bennett, Mark Driscoll, Voddie Baucham, Robert Lewis, Matt Chandler, James MacDonald, Crawford Loritts, Stu Weber, Joshua Harris and Rob Rienow.
